The event organized by Yakuza Studio this weekend was full of announcements and surprises; after Yakuza 7, Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Hokuto ga Gotoku, the Japanese company had a last title under their sleeves: Yakuza Online.
Yakuza Online will be an introduction to the new story arc proposed by the developers, after Kiryu Kazuma. As a matter of fact, the next episode will feature a new hero, Kasuga Ichiba. Yakuza Online objective will be to familiarize the audience with this new character before his arrival on console.
Yakuza Online will not be available on console but only does not appear on consoles, but only PC, iOS and Android. The game will a free to play RPG, with optional in app purchases. It should be available next year, at least for the Japanese market.
