Razer is well known for top specs devices, especially desktops and laptops as well as keyboards,etc… In January Razer acquired Nextbit. The company released the Robin, a powerful smartphone relying on the cloud received quite a good feedback and rating from the industry.
According to Bloomberg, Razer is about to release an android smartphone for gamers. To do so, the company would be making an IPO (initial public offering) in order to raise between 3 and 5 billions dollars to support the development of the super phone.
I’m a little sceptical about releasing a gaming phone as smartphone like the Oneplus 5 running the latest Snapdragon processor and 8gb ram or iPhone 7 are already powerful enough to run all the games available. Not sure what the Razer could bring to the market unless, focusing on the cloud, they could use their expertise to propose some gaming streaming services..
