Looking back into Implosion: Never lose hope – AAA console quality!

Implosion: Never lose hope is one of those games that makes you wonder why you are not playing more on your smartphone and if we are still going to play on PlayStation and Xbox much longer.

Implosion: never lose hope is a hack-and-slash action game developed by Rayark Games. The game is not new (released in April 2015) but it is a paid game so it does not always hit the 1st position on the stores and you might have missed it. The game cost 9.99 USD and offers a trial on Android so you can play the first 6 levels for free until you have to pay.

As many of us got new smartphone this year, with the release of the iPhone 7 and a bunch of powerful smartphone, I thought it could be good idea to write something about it as you don’t see much games offering such beautiful graphics, smooth gameplay and interesting storyline.

In 2170’s, the human race, in a effort to find a similar planet to settle in due to low resources in earth, developed Quantum drive tunnelling in order to reach Interstellar travel. Unfortunately, during the testing process, the lights emitted by the drive were noticed by the XADA. An extraterrestrial entity that finally attack earth for a 2 years war, in which earth developed the  program. The war didn’t turn out well for humanity which had to flew from earth. Decades later, humanity capture a signal from earth sounding like the XADA had decided to expand beyond earth. You are playing as Jake sent to earth to investigate and you control the last Warmech.

The gameplay is quite smooth. Your Warmech respond very easily and the virtual joystick is the best I have ever encountered on a mobile game.Then, you have to slice your enemies using your sword or machine gun (or any other types of gun that you will find on the ground. Keep in mind that earth was decades ago a battlefield between humanity and XADA, so you will be able to find a bunch of weapons on the floor as you progress in the game). You can quickly switch between your sword and long range weapons, giving you the possibility to alternate between long and short range attacks.

After a couple of missions, the game becomes a little bit repetitive but the developers introduces new enemies, bosses or mission such as defending an entrance,…which add variety and replayability. You can also customize your Warmech by adding new piece of equipment collected during the missions or via the shop integrated to the game.

Implosion has been released in 2015, and still this is one of the best looking game you can find out there. Not only in-game graphics but also the introduction video or in between missions videos. So if you have not tested it yet, I strongly advice to give it a try.

Implosion: Never Lose Hope received tons of positive comments and close to 5 stars rating with more than 200 000 reviews. it is also the Editor Choice on Google Play and IOS.
