Crying Suns is a rogue-lite and tactical game taking place in a science fiction univers developed by the French Studio Alt Shift. As an admiral of a space fleet, you explore a dying galaxy plunged into chaos after the sudden disappearance of the OMNIs, machines-deities in the service of mankind. Humanity last hope, you need to find those precious machine.
Crying Suns has reached its objectives on Kickstarter raising more than 31 000 euros against the 22k initially asked. Therefor, Crying Suns should be released on iPad around the end of 2018. The extra cash will unlock more content, including factions, alternative endings, weapons and playable heroes….
A little bit more about Crying Suns :
- Space exploration: You will have to navigate through a procedurally-generated and violent universe, looking for resources (scrap, the ingame money, and Neo-N, your precious fuel) and fighting against chasing you across the universe.
- Tactical fights : As a fleet Admiral, you will have to battle huge battleships and their squadron fleets . You will have 3 types of unit at your disposal: Heroes (specialist officers recruited during your journey), Squadrons (Units such as Cruiser, Drones and fighters ) and Weapons ((missiles, fast lasers, Tesla bombs, ionic weapons, rail guns,..)
- A deep and dramatic storyline : The story is inspired from clasical Sci-fi universe including Dune, Battlestar Galactica and is divided in 6 chapters.
