Successful developer Rovio is still capitalising on its successful IP Angry Birds and has just released globally Angry Birds Evolution, a RPG version of the famous license.
Angry birds Evolution is still staging angry birds and pigs but introducing some RPG mechanics. First, Angry Birds Evolution is no longer a 2D games but the action is filmed from above in 3D. Then, the concept is similar so you still have to aim and throw your birds towards the pigs and ultimately boss pigs. To defeat the boss pigs, each birds have special skills that are activated after 3 attacks. Similar to the 2D version, you can take advantage of the wall to bounce several times of your targets.
For the RPG part, Angry Birds Evolution let you collect hundreds of Birds with their own abilities that you can train and evolve.
This new orientation is quite seducing and refreshing. To be fair, I stopped playing Angry Birds a while ago as I was « bored » so it is great to see Rovio looking for ways to refresh it successful licence.
Angry Birds Evolution is free to play and is available on iOS and Android.
